About The Department…
The Department of Computer Application is a dynamic and evolving wing of the institution, committed to imparting high-quality education in the field of computer Science and its practical applications. The department began offering the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) in the academic session 2024–25, with an intake capacity of 30 students which is increased to 50 from session 2025-26.
Despite being a newly introduced course, the department has made a significant impact in a short time. In the previous academic cycle, students successfully completed a wide range of projects, with a major focus on IoT (Internet of Things), web applications, and other software development projects. These practical initiatives not only enhanced students’ technical skills but also encouraged innovation and problem-solving abilities.
In addition to academic activities, the college website has been developed and is currently maintained by the Department of Computer Application, showcasing the department’s technical capability and its commitment to supporting the institution’s digital infrastructure.
The department aims to continuously enhance its academic and practical frameworks, providing students with opportunities to explore emerging technologies and prepare for industry-ready careers.
The department is equipped with a state-of-the-art computer laboratory, housing 40 high-performance computers with full software configurations and high-speed internet connectivity. These systems are regularly updated to ensure compatibility with modern programming environments, application development tools, and emerging technologies. The lab provides students with hands-on experience in coding, design, testing, and deployment.
The department also benefits from a well-stocked library section that includes a rich collection of textbooks, reference materials, academic journals, and project reports relevant to computer applications and IT domains. These resources support both theoretical learning and practical project work, helping students stay updated with current trends and research in the field.
